Yondr Pouches are coming soon to Riverview Gardens High School. Yondr Pouches are lockable bags that scholars will keep their mobile devices in at the start of school. The devices will stay in the scholar's possession but inside the Yondr Pouch. The pouches can be unlocked by staff at the end of the day, in case of emergency or for academic use.

Riverview Gardens School District announced the appointment of Tiffany Patton, Ed.D. as the new professional development coordinator. Patton will provide support for teachers in order to more effectively and consistently teach the district’s written math curriculum and support through clear communication and vertical articulation of K-12 learning goals. She will also coordinate staff development training for all district-certified staff.

The Riverview Gardens School District (RGSD) has three open seats for the Special Administrative Board of Education. The positions are for three-year terms and the newly elected members will join the Board at the April 11, 2023 Open Session board meeting. Three citizens have filed their candidacy for the three open positions on the Special Administrative Board of Education. As a result, RGSD is not required to hold an election on April 4, 2023.

Textbooks are vital tools within the realm of curricular and instructional support. The Curriculum and Instruction (C&I) department is reviewing Social Studies textbooks to adopt for the 2022-2023 academic year. The Social Studies instructional materials will be evaluated on the following criteria: layout, content, literacy, assessment and progress monitoring, technology and professional development.
